The Guggenheim Musuem Bilbao's exhibition "Brancusi - Serra" will give us a rare opportunity to see these two artists side by side and will set the scene for our forum. We will address the theme "Sculpture Today, A Space For Inquiry - Experience Re-codified" with an international panel of experts and artists.
How is "space" understood? Which is the spectator's role? How is our experience of the piece? How do issues of sustainability and resource influence sculpture making and thought? Are just some of the questions that come to mind.
Conference languages are English and Spanish.
The Forum is for Friends of the arts, collectors, patrons, artists, other art professionals: curators, gallery owners, art critics, art historians, architects, museum people, academics, educators, etc.
