What began in 1988 as an experiment, has long become an event that is far beyond the city limits beyond compliance: results at regular intervals of three years at the International Sculpture Symposium Obernkirchener art before the eyes of visitors.Exhibition Time: 26 August to 9 September 2012
From hundreds of entries from around the world ten artists will be selected, which can be on the historic square of the city Obernkirchen (Sauerland) created sculptures. For most of the artists is a dream come true. Up to one cubic meter of material they make the best Obernkirchener sand quarries are available. You have two weeks to turn their artistic ideas.
